"This hotel is a traditional Japanese property and such the rooms and the food served in their restaurants are all keeping with the Japanese culture and traditions. There is an onsen, hot spring pools, on site to soak in. They have a great and friendly staff who were very helpful in many ways. The property is close to world class ski resorts and there are convenient transportation options to get around the area. I would recommend this hotel to those who love the outdoors and would appreciate an immersive Japanese experience."

"This was by far my greatest stay so far in japan. Amazing food, amazing building, amazing onsen! But westerners be wary, you will need to sacrifice some of your typical understanding of amenitys, theres no showers in the rooms, and very little english is spoken in this whole town. That being said i cant rate it less than 5 stars! If you come to this hotel, be prepared to eat (amazing) foods you never thought youd try, and immerse youself in the japanese culture. If you do not want to immerse yourself, this may not be the place for you."

"The room was really spacious with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was included but dinner we ate out as the hotel is large and they can't accommodate everybody. This was not a problem as there were so many restaurants in town. You do need to time the shuttle bus well though. Overall, a brilliant place to visit and really worth the money."
