"A really great and unique experience that was different to the usual B&B offering. Room, breakfast and people were all excellent and would recommend a visit if in Winchester. Thanks! Neal"
"The property was basic, as expected, but the host's behavior was shockingly unprofessional and erratic. After honestly correcting a simple booking mistake (one guest instead of two) and promptly offering payment, the host initially seemed polite but slow to respond.
Things turned serious when I accidentally locked myself out of the bedroom—without shoes or phone—and urgently contacted him via my smartwatch. He claimed he'd arrive in an hour but vanished for hours, ignoring multiple calls....
"The Fox is an excellent B&B with attached first class dining. The staff were great about our late arrival due to M3 closure, phoning to get our breakfast order and being prepared to leave a key for us. Breakfast is one of the best in Winchester."
"Absolutely fabulous. Really clean and comfortable comfy beds.so many towels again of really great quality. Lots of attention to detail including ceiling fans which are totally silent. Great place "
"Very comfortable stay in a well presented property, lovely decoration, great bed and very nice restaurant which accommodated us for a late dinner!
Highly recommend this property."
"Very comfortable and clean room and the pub is friendly and busy with a decent pub menu and nice atmosphere. The area is quite busy and a bit noisy but otherwise a very nice stay.

The Winchester Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Informal, buzzy hotel with lovely, friendly and efficient staff. Had an issue with our room and quickly moved. We booked basic twin but would go for the club in future as more roomy and modernised. Dog friendly hotel, dogs I think are booked into the ground floor rooms.
Menus in bar and restaurant which are right next door to each other are good for allergies. I’m GF but had no problem. Pool is small and busy but all one depth and not too deep. Well maintained and you can’t get in without filling in a form, being a guest or a member. Didn’t have time for a treatment. Hotel parking is limited, saw some charging points. We parked in front of hotel reception in the public car park which was fine about £7 a day I think? There is a short walk to the Cathedral, shops and even nearer for the theatre. Slopey rather than hilly. Good location. We felt safe there. Good shopping! Will book again. "
"There was no tourist info or writing note paper or pencil in the room. The bathroom wash basin waste water would not drain properly. Blocked wast pipe. "
"Excellenece throughout. Richard the host is quite obviously a professional hospitality man... No more to be said other than I would stay at 31 Queens Road again."
"This flat is in an excellent location for walking to Westgate, museums, High Street and the Cathedral. It is in a residential neighbourhood centrally located and close to a small grocery store and the train station. The flat is very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. "
