"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location. Restaurants and shops in walking distance. Easy commute to historic district in Charleston. All rooms are oceanfront. Beautiful and easy access to the beach. Small balcony, bring your own camping chairs to sit on it. The hotel is a little dated. We didn’t like rooms not being painted and freshening up scratches . You had to wait until almost 5 pm before cleaning staff came to replace towels make beds. We are used to that being handled by noon. We felt the floors in the room had not been cleaned before arrival. There is a small refrigerator in the room but no microwave which would have been convenient. There was also no phone to reach the front desk. There were two elevators, but one was frequently out of service causing wait times. Overall, we enjoyed a lot about staying at the Tides. We wish they would work a little more on freshening up the rooms and cleaning. The beach and walkable restaurants make it very convenient."
Large Beach House for Bigger, Better Gatherings!

"My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! Darlana is an incredible host and went out of her way to accommodate our group with all our needs. The house is a perfect beach house and has everything you can think of needed for a beach vacation. We were there for my son's wedding and hosted a beach party the night before the wedding. There were so many beach toys and chairs and things available to take. My mom made the most beautiful wedding cake in the kitchen at the house, and Darlana went out of her way to make sure we had a kitchen aid to use for that task. The bedrooms were so nice and the sheets were the softest ever. We will be going back for sure. Thank you, Darlana for making this wedding destination trip a perfect 10!"

"Another perfect trip to Folly beach with our kids, granddaughters and pups. Heron Hideaway is the perfect house for all of us, great indoor and outdoor space for everyone. We all especially love the pool, outdoor cabana and fenced yard. Hope to be back next summer! Kris Walker"

"We always look forward to coming to Folly and the Love Shack! We especially love the convenience of having the beach 3 minutes away, as well as being just a few blocks from Center Street for great food and shopping. Our golden retriever loves the fenced back yard almost as much as he loves the beach! The house is so charming and comfortable with everything we need for a great stay. We will definitely be back!"

"A group of us planned a last second Labor Day weekend trip.Jessica was super accommodating during the entire process. Check in was super easy and seamless.The property was perfect a 10 second walk to the beach, and had plenty of beach chairs for the 7 of us. The pool was an added bonus, Jessica was on top of everything."
