"We were travelling from Switzerland to Calais and back to uk. Needed somewhere inbetween to rest. Had good reviews so booked this place and also had free parking. The checkin is only open from 1600-2000. We were running late and therefore had to contact reception. The lady who assisted us was wonderful and organised out of hours check in The parking is on street parking and depends on availability of space and therefore free parking is not necessary available. The room was not clean. It smelt foul. There was mould on the sponge on the sink. One of the beds smelt like a drunk homeless man had slept on it. Had stains on the sheets. Could not sleep on that at all! The other bed had small bits on it. We slept with our clothes and for the minimum necessary to recuperate and be on our way The window opens directly onto the street where there is a bar and was noisy all night (it was a Friday night) I am surprised that it has 9/10 rating! Would definitely not rate it at all "

"A fantastic modern hotel just a short walk from the museum, which is well worth a visit. The quietest air conditioning I have ever experienced! Ideal location for the football stadium too, which is 10-15 minutes walk. The town centre is a further 5-10 minutes away, but has very little to offer."

"The picture on the hotel website shows the hotel with a sign which says “Hotel Restaurant Brasserie”. This, along with the “free, private parking”, made it appear the ideal location for my single night stay in Lens. When I got there, a Wednesday, the restaurant wasn’t open. I have subsequently looked at the FAQs which state “No, this hotel does not have an on-site restaurant.” There are a number of other restaurants in the street but all were closed that night and generally appear not to be open for evening service. The choice I was left with was either Domino’s Pizza or Friterie Momo. Fortunately, I picked the latter and had one of the best burger and chips I’ve had in years. The hotel itself is functional although tired and need of a complete refresh. The room was comfortable although the bathroom left a lot to be desired. To get water from the shower you had to press in the heating control. Water then came out for no more than 20 seconds before you had to press it again. That would have been merely inconvenient it I hadn’t had to hold the shower head which would not attach to its hook. No shower gel was provided, luckily I had my own, just the smallest bar of soap I have ever seen. In fact calling it a bar is an exaggeration; sliver would be a more accurate description. Finally, the toilet was very close to a wall. In fact my knees were less than an inch from it. Anyone taller than six foot would have a problem. The breakfast was pretty good with a lot of choice. "For us it was a good central location for day trips in Hauts-de-France. Lots of parking and shopping across the street. Rooms look over or open to a garden. Weirdly situated in an industrial area. Onsite restaurant is excellent. While somewhat dated, the rooms are very clean and well maintained. Staff speaks some Engish and are very hospitable."

"Older style rooms very cool. Located right on corner across from train station. Convienent. Staff not always present there was a bell to ring them. Sometimes it work other times not but very helpful when they answered bell. "

"Where to start with this "hotel" the staff were pleasant enough. The pool is just a accident waiting to happen. Apart from wing nuts screwed into the side of the pool and a light hanging out of it's fitting there was the water pump that sucked my hand into it,as the cover was missing. I will be putting in a complaint with Expedia over this,Not a great experience overall. The room was nice just a little worn. I did get a good night's sleep though as the bed was big and cosy. "
