"The staff are very friendly and respectful. The breakfast is just fine. My son loves the swimming pool. The beach is good but many sea weeds. But if u go far the sea water is clean and good for healing. U can rent jet skii nearby. And if u like to ride camel and horses is just near to rent and enjoy the ride. "

"It was a terrible experience. Lack of professionalism. Dirty room. Old-fashioned. AND the worst thing is that we could not get a beach towel, let alone a spot on the beach to relax and enjoy the afternoon. Of course the pool was out of the question. No space whatsoever and dirty. Over-crowded, old-fashioned "hotel". Beach smells like camels and horses and ponies. I ended up checking out half an hour after checking in and losing 1250 QAR for nothing. "The Oryx Hotel at the Doha Airport is very convenient if you have an overnight layover for a connecting flight. It overlooks a central area where the A, B, C, and D concourses connect, with ready access to designer stores, restaurants and a food court that includes KFC & Burger King. The rooms were quiet & tastefully furnished with very nice walk-in showers. Expensive but worth it!"
