"Friendly welcome, lovely dinner in the snug. The room was clean and welcoming with a big TV and tea making facilities. The staff accommodated our request to leave our bags at reception after we had checked out."

"So, the good stuff first. Price is fantastic value. Location is ideal, just off the M74. Room was warm, quiet and clean. Bed was great. Now the real let-down. The smell of dope on the first floor would have knocked you out, despite the ‘No Smoking’ signs on all the doors. I reported it to reception. It was clear to me which was the offending room and I invited the staff to take a stroll past. Not sure if they did or not but the smell was still there the next morning when I left. You wouldn’t need to have been Miss Marple to track down the offender. Apart from the smell it was a clear fire hazard. I’m due back in Scotland soon and would love to stay again. But that has made me hesitate. "

"One of the friendliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Fabulous staff, friendly locals, good beer & food and free parking right outside the door. To top it all off the breakfast is amazing. I’d stay here again next time I’m travelling this way. "
