"So, the good stuff first. Price is fantastic value. Location is ideal, just off the M74. Room was warm, quiet and clean. Bed was great. Now the real let-down. The smell of dope on the first floor would have knocked you out, despite the ‘No Smoking’ signs on all the doors. I reported it to reception. It was clear to me which was the offending room and I invited the staff to take a stroll past. Not sure if they did or not but the smell was still there the next morning when I left. You wouldn’t need to have been Miss Marple to track down the offender. Apart from the smell it was a clear fire hazard. I’m due back in Scotland soon and would love to stay again. But that has made me hesitate. "

The setting by the River Tweed is incredibly peaceful and scenic — a perfect place to unwind after days of exploring the area.The space was clean, well maintained, and felt welcoming the moment we arrived. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it especially comfortable, and the self-contained setup was ideal for our stay.The location is great for exploring the surrounding countryside while still feeling tucked away and tranquil. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommended."
