Property was fine for one night and very close to Hobbiton which was great as that was the purpose of our visit. The hotel and management was fine but..... permenant residents do live here as well and the permanent residents were not friendly and a bit rough around the edges and my neighbour (a resident there) swore and yelled alot. And residents do tend to hang out in the parking area. At times I did not feel comfortable staying there with my children. If it wasnt for that, this is a great little motel and very spacious its just a shame as i feel some of the residents bring it down.

Nice and comfortable

The staff was friendly and allowed us V to check in a little early, which was great! The room was nice and very clean. Overall, it was a very nice motel.

Brilliant stay, nothing was a problem. Staff let us check in early and were lovely:) The room was clean and fresh with everything needed.

Because it was so hot when we stayed we had to use the portable fan in the room - but because it was so dirty and dusty we had to clean it first! It is also close to the railway line - beware of trains passing at three in the morning!

Hôtel bruyant

Hôtel très bruyant, une route passe devant l’hôtel avec de gros camions qui passent jour et nuit ! Il a beaucoup plut, le devant de notre studio était inondé nous avions les pieds dans l’eau pour rentrer, personne n’est venu ... !

It was disappointing that the unit was not that clean and tidy, blood stains on the wall and carpet as they someone had been assaulted in there. Shower was leaking but was repaired the following day after reporting to owner. No smoke alarm, duvet supplied for sofa bed was stained and we left a list of eight things that we felt needed correcting.

The property is old but very clean and the rooms are HUGE so plenty of room to stretch out with a family in the 2br apartments. The proximity to the railway could be bothersome for some as the trains can be noisy going past. However everything in the room is in good working order and the electric blankets on each bed is a thoughtful (and somewhat necessary) touch. Linens are of a nice quality and the check in and out process is unfussy and efficient.

Good place to stay near Hobbiton

confusion with parking space allocation as markers need replacing. No plug in washbasin in bathroom. Room large for cost of accommodation. Motel one of , if not, the closest to Hobbiton

Where do I start. Hosts had half their family around every night for what seemed dinner. Music playing till 11. Kids running around yelling. The spa bath decided to start blowing air at 11.30pm Hosts talking so loud and in foreign language till late at night both nights and had absolutely no consideration for the guests. Had a cockroach outside our room beside an ashtray for 2 days. Plug inside was hanging out of the wall. But the rooms were clean. The shower was great
