Very comfy
"A bit further out of town than it looked on the map, but that turned out fine. Very nice host and very welcoming, even his cat was there to greet us! . A “comfy” place to stay in and best of all, quite spacious. The only thing is that the shower cubicle was very small so gave it a miss as we were ..."

"Tired facilities but comfortable. We had a two bedroom unit with ensuite. It was a bit noisy ( traffic and people outside). Lovely meal in the restaurant. Great checkin, pleasant and helpful staff."

Solid main street with good dining and easy parking. If you're in that part of the country, this is a good place to make an overnight.

I wouldn’t recommend going to the Waitomo Caves. It’s cool, but not worth the long drive from Matamata.
