"This hotel is located in a great area within walking distance to many amenities, temples, and other tourist attractions. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was modern, well-designed, efficient, and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It was my birthday while we were there, and the staff gifted me with beautiful sake cups, which was so very thoughtful and unexpected. We really enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!"

"Agréable, propre, calme , spacieux et traditionnel. Ma famille a adoré."

"Our stay at Imperial Hotel Kyoto was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding— attentive and professional, with every detail taken care of. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the rooftop. It was such a wonderful space to relax, take in the views and enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto. It was a nice touch to our visit. Overall, Imperial Hotel Kyoto was fantastic. From the beautiful surroundings and excellent service to the...

"Wonderful experience."

"We loved staying here and would definitely stay again if we visited Kyoto. Very friendly and helpful staff, amenities available to us were really useful and our room was perfect for what we needed. We also loved the convenient location to local temples, shopping, restaurants and multiple local train stations which made getting around very easy even with our baby. Very glad we chose to stay at this hotel and would recommend to anyone."

"Words can’t explain how beautiful this hotel is and in the perfect location! The hotel is absolutely amazing and the views are unmatched. I’ve stayed at many great hotels but nothing compares to this one! Breakfast is fantastic and staff is so incredibly kind! Worth staying here when you come to Kyoto!!! Amazing!!!"

"The Aoi Hotel is located centrally to great restaurants, shopping, local attractions, and beautiful views. I was pleasantly surprised to be far enough from the main hustle and bustle to have peace and quiet, but close enough to walk to enjoy Kyoto. The staff is helpful and friendly, just a chat away using their cool interactive pad accessible in the room. Our room had a washer/dryer and they provided detergent, which helped us get reset for our time in Kyoto. Did I mention it’s spacious! We had...

"Everyone was super kind and friendly. The check in was so easy. From arrival to being in the room was maybe, 7 minutes total. They have a free washer/ dryer for your clothes and free coffee/tea in the lobby. The employees were all so nice and helpful. I really recommend this hotel. Having a terrace to sit outside on and relax after a long day of walking was also pretty sweet."

"Sowaka was amazing. Great location, beautiful hotel, incredible food, perfect staff! Do take the 5:45 am tour to Kiyomizu-dera with the incredibly knowledgeable hotel manager. A wonderful and unique experience without all the tourists around."

"Location!"

"Good location"

"The check in was fast, efficient and welcoming. The staff was kind and friendly. The hotel location was away from the train station but was in an older neighborhood with lots of dining, small bars and shopping. The neighborhood was quaint, had a river walk and fun and beautiful to walk around. The room was amazing with a beautiful view of Kyoto and was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was half order and half buffet. The choices were eggs Benedict and French toast. Both were amazingly...

"The room felt spacious relative to other hotels we visited in Japan, and everything was clean. They supplied all the standard amenities for our stay. The only drawback was the lack of daily room cleaning and a laundry room; however, they replaced our towels everyday, and also shared details about a laundromat three minutes away from the hotel. The staff were very kind and assisted with forwarding our luggage to our next stop."

"Absolutely amazing oasis in the heart of crowded Kiyomizu. Beautiful, tranquil, clean guest house with tons of space."

"とても清潔でした。 お風呂が独立してゆっくりできましたし、とても便利な立地でした。 特にフロントの方の助けが必要なことはありませんでしたが、少し私語が多いのが気になりました。"
