"The St Ives is a really family friendly hotel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The kids entertainment was very good. If I had one critique it would be that the £9 charge for a kids meal is quite expensive for a two year old. Maybe under 5’s should eat for less? It didn’t spoil our break though. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. "

"Our first impression, when we walked through the door never changed throughout our stay. The hotel reception area is bright, clean and has lovely decor, lots of seating areas, to relax and enjoy a drink, and friendly staff who welcomed us on arrival.We were booked in for 2 nights over the May bank holiday weekend and had booked a show at the Lowther Pavilion for one of the nights. "We stayed in rm 6. Room and bathroom compact. Well decorated and furnished to a high standard. Everything you need just compact. Breakfast excellent individually prepared. "

"We have stayed many times at this hotel and it has always been pleasant, very clean and cannot fault the staff, apart from one young man serving on the bar on Saturday night whom I asked for a Long Island ice tea, he said no the hot drinks machine is broke ? I said it’s a cocktail? And he replied abruptly I know but we’re not doing them ?apart from that it was lovely. "
