"The location on the canal and picturesque countryside made a beautiful setting for dining in the conservatory. The food was consistently very good, the staff friendly and I enjoyed using the pool. "
"The Sykes Cottages customer service is appalling. No number to ring and the response time to the text and WhatsApp is ridiculous. The cottage was great but Sykes were not.
After booking I had a problem with amending the name on the booking and getting a receipt. I was eventually told it was not possible to make amendments but it was also not possible to do this on hotels.com. Also one of our party left an iPad and is quite rightly worried about. Nobody has contacted me either which I would expect someone to having found something of value. I'm disappointed."

"We had a great stay in this property. It is clean, well equipped and in a really handy location with the train station close by and a nice couple of wee pubs up the road. the house itself has a modern kitchen and main bathroom as well as another bathroom on the top ( 3rd Floor ). Bedrooms have good space and are clean and well maintained. It is an older terraced property over three floors and with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor, it might not suit those with mobility issues, but as a family with a fit grandmother, we found the property very suitable for the needs of 5 adults and 2 young kids and would definitely stay again. "
"We had a short stay at Salt Pot cottage over half term and had a lovely time. The property is a new build and in excellent condition throughout. We had a lovely time, enjoyed the hot tub and had a lovely pub meal at the Hare and Hounds in Lothersdale. The views from the cottage are lovely, even in the October gloom, it must be stunning when the sun comes out"
"It is comfortable, older hotel. Quirky even. Everyone very helpful, nothing a bother. Bedding and towels excellent quality. Breakfast was freshly cooked, and superb. Plenty of choices. Service excellent. Dinner was fabulous, in presentation and taste, again cooked to order. A busy evening function, but residents came first. Will definitely stay again."
