"This property is extremely phenomenal. It’s built in the 1700s and has been well maintained. The area is 9 minutes from the walled city of Lucca. A taxi will cost you 15 euros there but if you’re up for an excursion the hotel rents bike for 30 euros a day. My wife and I enjoyed our stay because the host and their family are extremely lovely."

"The hotel is in the centre of Luca and within walking distance of anything you could want within the walled city. I felt safe as a solo female traveller and was comforted by the rooms' security. "Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and air con worked very well in bedroom in a heatwave! Breakfast room was a little tight for the number of guests staying and air con did not really operate that well in reception area and breakfast room. We enjoyed our stay in Lucca and Villa Romantica!"

"The property was very well located for touring the old town and places of interest. The room was spoilt by stale odours in the bathroom. This was possibly due to a maintenance issue with the shower's drain."

"We liked the location and the fact it was quiet.The bed was comfortable. Kitchen adequate but would have liked electric kettle. It was wet weather and we had no control over heating as it was put on remotely and only occasionally during our weeks stay. We appreciated the clean towels and linen everyday. A welcome pack was not included ie info on nearest shop. So more difficult when travelling without a car. Lucca is a wonderful city and a few little touches would have made us feel more welcome...

"Beware - I booked through Expedia but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. So I called the B&B to try to make the change but they cannot do this. They saved my room for me but I had to pay for the night I wasn’t there. Annoying. I had a room overlooking the plaza. "Beautiful little townhouse all the comforts of home. A lovely big spa bath, great continental breakfast. Perfect location for walking around the new and old town up on the hill. Walking distance from the station. And the host Samanta was more than helpful even gave me her mobile number if I needed anything. I will definitely stay again "

"Great value for money. Clean/tidy/comfortable big bed. We went for the family room as have two kids. Late self checkin was accomodated and all check in details sent via whats app early on in the day. Super market like a 30 second drive away. Would visit again if in the area. "

"Beautiful place very relaxing with excellent view. Great service. Parking no very close to building ( if rainy day very uncomfortable). Road to the hotel very narrow. Had an incident going down and old gentleman coming up, he had to back up car for more than 100 meters and honestly he didn’t know how to back up car. Todo almost have and hour to be able to continue my way down. But other than that beautiful place"
