It is spread out far but driving is easy and there are plenty of shopping, restaurants and cultural, sporting events to make it worth visiting. Its off the usual path of bigger cities in Texas but I do love the experience and vibe everytime I travel

Be sure to check out the Buddy Holly Museum! It is very interesting and there is a small art gallery attached that made it a great visit to see both. Don't miss the memorial garden across the street from the parking lot as well!

Went to the Ranch Heritage Museum and the 1st Friday of the month Art Displays at the Buddy Holley Hall of Performing Arts. The were both excellent. Lubbock's Breakfast House was good and they seated us quickly.

The city is growing so much! We were in a totally new neighborhood. The Ranching association was fantastic and so was TexasTech university arts center

LBK is the older, shittier brother of Stephenville who is getting fat. It's not the jewel that Fort Worth is but that's an unfair comparison. The food is fantastic and the people are good honest West Texas friendly folk. We plan on coming back.

We were only in Lubbock for the night. Ate burgers at Spanky's. The hotel is near both Texas Tech and a hospital. It was a safe, quiet area. The closer to the university, the more lively the people. Texas Tech has a beautiful campus.

this is in an older part of town. I was traveling alone so I was ok but dont think I would have felt safe bringing my wife and kids. A lot of homeless people wondering the streets. A lot of vacant shops and buildings in the area.
