"We switched rooms at least 3 times and by the 3rd room I gave up. The outlets were sketchy, the microwave looked like someone was cooking something other than food amd the roaches were horrible. There was nasty unmentionables all over the chairs amd the floors. Housekeeping was nearly nonexistent. Oh yeah and the AC didnt work very well."

"The pictures are not accurate. Older home which is fine but I would not use the stove, inside cupboards were falling apart especially under sink, box springs on mattresses were had corners that showed wood frame, etc. Everything was partially used with no replacement which they noted if we used something up we would have to purchase our own and that is fine but could start us out with at least more than 2 rolls of paper towels which were less than 1/2 used. We had to put in bathrooms to dry hands and purchase a bottle of hand soap for a bathroom. 1 toilet wasn’t working. The doors around furnace?was broken and could not be closed. Apparently it was time to mow the yard (mostly dirt) while we were there. Found backyard gate open when we returned from graduation that night. It was noted that there were flaws with the house when I received the info to get in house- did not expect this!"

"We rented this house for our family during my daughter's graduation. The location was perfect for us because it was walking distance from my daughter's apartment (I had no idea at the time of booking) and about a mile away from Texas Tech campus. The church parking lot, across the street, provided extra parking for friends to come over for dinner. Luckly, we had it catered and didn't have to cook. The kitchen/dining area was tight (kinda like an RV), but I already knew what I was getting into looking at the pictures. I'm pretty sure everyone eats on their beautiful sectional, but you would never know it. We brought extra folding chairs to eat on the spacious front porch because the weather was great. if you have the space in your vehicle, maybe bring some tv table trays. There is no access to the backyard, but it would feel too segregated to eat out there anyway because there is no backdoor to get there. The rooms were very clean, simple, and spacious. Heavier sleepers might need to sleep in the master bedroom because of the road noise (or bring a sound machine). The backrooms are a little cooler for hot natured people. There is a bit of a homlessness walking to the church for their meals, but they weren't a bother. This property is also listed for Marriott Bonvoy members and I was able to book it using my points a couple of months before the graduation. For that being a Bonvoy property and a relatively short amount of time, I was very grateful. The house was very comfortable. The host was also very excellent and for me that goes a long way. The whole process went very smooth!"

"If you are comfortable with a motel over a hotel, you’ll be okay… -Air conditioning works -Terribly uncomfortable beds and flat lumpy pillows -No electric outlets in the bathrooms for hair products, very few in house overall -Only given half a roll of paper towels so bring your own -Couch covering itchy-Lighting not great - lightbulbs dead or missing-Broken finishings - tile on kitchen island, closet door off the hinges -Roach found in our shoes overnight -Ice maker didn’t work - bought our own ice-There’s a coffee pot, but no coffee grounds-One house away from gas station - not the safest feeling -Overall clean I understand it is listed as a budget-friendly, basic property, but this was as basic as I’ve ever seen. "
