"Quirky building and a lovely room. Upgraded free of charge which was a lovely surprise 🥰 young man who checked us in was so lovely polite and friendly 😊 We went for a meal elsewhere for my mums birthday and when we came back we visited the pub across the road which is also part of this family business and again the place was cute and clean with wonderful staff and locals. "Loved staying at this great guest house. Very convenient for Edinburgh city centre as bus stop for the city centre is right outside the door. Craig is a great host with lots of helpful information. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Was a good stay. It’s a 30 minute walk into city center and has great cafes in walking distance. There isn’t a restaurant at the location, but again a good choice of cafes near."

"Wonderful owners were amazing and everything so clean and beautiful. They were so helpful and have added so much to our trip with suggestions and little things that really matter. Breakfast was amazing! We felt like very special quests! We will return here again. Highly recommend."

"Louise was very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, and even let us keep our baggage at the property after checking out as our flight was later in the evening. The suite at the top floor had nice views. Thanks for having us!"

"We only stayed one night in a small double room at this property, but the room was quite adequate and the bathroom was especially wonderful--great shower, good lighting, recently remodeled. It is also located in a nice neighborhood, with several good restaurants and coffee shops close-by, and a reasonable walk (about a mile) to the Royal Mile."

"The owner was very helpful, and met us at the property, even though we were early. He responded well when we messaged him. The room was nothing fancy, but good value for the money. The main issue we had was location. It was right across the street from a bar, and since our room was right beside the street, it was a bit noisy outside and in as well, till things calmed down."

"Our stay at Menzie's was everything we wished for: nice and big rooms with all you need, good location (lots to explore around, but also good access to bus stations) and all of that for a very reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay."

"Virgin Hotel Edinburgh was excellent. Located close to most attractions and restaurants. The chamber room with terrace was spacious and unique.Only con was the long trek with bags up stairs and long corridors to get to the room as there was no direct access. Overall this is an exceptional hotel with great service. We will definitely visit again. "
