"1. This hotel is located in older part of Guangzhou, the environment was not the best, I’ve seen more beautiful and cleaner places even in old cities in China 2. The view from the rooms and restaurants are horrible 3. The rooms are cute and nice 4. Breakfast is pretty basic 5. Bathrooms flood and drains poorly so everywhere got flooded. Later saw other reviews on flooded bathrooms online 6. There were Mosquitos in rooms 7. The staff are friendly, caring and helpful. 8. There was no airport shuttle I booked this hotel based on the reviews I saw online, however it is either the people who gave these positive reviews stayed in a different hotel or their definition of good is very “interesting” I will NEVER come back here neither will I recommend it. They promised a full refund, I’m still waiting for it. Please refund my money in full "

"地理位置优越，环境不错，房间也很舒适，前台carman和celine两个人服务非常棒，马上办理入住手续和满足客人的需求。由于离酒店是早上很早，值班经理还非常帮忙的帮助我们把行李拿出外面，服务非常好，感谢。但是发现2号楼的客房服务不是很到位，我们用过的水杯和咖啡杯并没有清理，咖啡和茶并没有补充，出现这个问题共有两次，也投诉了两次，第二次的时候先打电话到客房服务跟小姐姐服务员说了，居然说不在他们服务范围内，让我们非常不满意，然后投诉到客房经理，客房经理居然说之前电话是AI回答，这样推卸责任的回答让人非常无语。我住2号楼之前在同一酒店的1号楼住过，1号楼清洁从来没有这种问题，这让我很失望，希望以后会有所改进。"

"Booked a superior room but got an “upgrade” This is not a hotel. In the lobby you’d find signs for a number of companies that run these rooms. The room I got looked nothing like the photos. The front desk cited an electrical issue and gave us an upgrade- with three plain beds, a dripping A/C unit and shower with a toilet in it. When I insisted, they said they could move us to the room the room the next day at noon because someone was in it. So it wasn’t an electrical issue. We checked out early and they denied us a refund. I would not recommend this place. "

"Overall, a nice hotel under the Marriott brand. Comfortable room, but slightly dated, can do with some technology upgrades. Loved the housekeeping team, but the front desk wasn’t as friendly on the few occasions when I called. The corridor area started smelling of rotting durians on my last 3 days of stay. Was disposed that the hotel actually allowed the fruits in the room. "

"Very well located with lots of facilities. Next to Beijing Road and near enough to the metro system. The room was comfortable with good amenities. The hotel also offered an excellent breakfast spread, free supper and decent gym and laundry facilities. Staff were friendly and willing to help. "

"This vintage property has beautiful grounds, excellent gym and big swimming pool. The room is spacious. The location is great and very tranquil. The "hot tub" in the pool area is not a hot tub at all. It was just room temperature water, which is a disappointment. The property could improve by installing guest laundry facility. I was given two packs of laundry detergent free in my room, but there's no laundry facility to use these detergent. I was told the detergent was to be used for hand washing my clothes in my room. That does not make sense. There is the direct bus to Hong Kong and Kowloon, which is very convenient for travellers. The staff were helpful. Service was prompt and courteous. "
