"Really great property and enjoyed our visit at the Mazzarò Sea Palace. Big shout out to Carmen from housekeeping that took extra good care of us and Salvatore on the beach who made things perfect! Loved the place so much! One thing I think people should know about when you travel to nice hotels in Sicily and this one in particular. They now add 15% gratuity and mention it as optional if you eat at the restaurants. Additionally, upon check out, they sum up a tip of 5 percent of total bill for a tip for all the staff. In essence you tip on top of tips. You can opt out of that or select another amount but it would be great if it was advised upfront as I’ve grown accustomed to tipping staff directly or house keeping directly. One then finds themself tipping at lunch/dinner then again having an amount pegged at end of stay by the property. They then tell you it’s optional. Not sure if the staff receives or if it goes to the top of the chain. Overall great stay but people should know about gratuity being baked in or proposed in final bill. "

"This property is managed perfectly. From the staff to the options. Everything was fantastic. The food is amazing and the servers so polite and accommodating. The front desk is managed very well. The rooms are clean, items are replenished daily. The next time I’m in Catania, I will be staying here."
