"The hotel looks spectacular when you arrive. On check-in the staff were polite, seemed a little fed up everyday thereafter. The restaurant is something that should be avoided at all costs unless you like eating uninspiring, bland overpriced food (£60 for 2 people and I would have expected something that looked and tasted like some heart had gone into it). Best option was the pub at the end of the drive or a takeaway!! Breakfast was free - that was nice because I would not have paid for it! We...

"This is a great friendly hotel that majors in service and friendliest approach. Nothing is to much trouble always with a smile"

"A wonderful place to stay. A fantastic old building with so much character and lovely country views. Bedrooms very comfortable with great attention to detail and well thought through. Excellent breakfast and a good menu for dinner - well presented and very tasty. The highlight though were the staff throughout. It's such a pleasure to receive genuine excellent customer service from start to finish. Thank you."

"Great room and loved the vibe and atmosphere!"

"Bar was a little disappointing but other than that was an excellent stay with exceptionally helpful staff"

"We were not told there would be a wedding in progress so the music was quite loud until 11pm. There was no option for early takeaway breakfast at 8am, and no option for room only. The restaurant still set up for wedding, with chairs stacked up.The female staff in the restaurant were very nice and the food excellent, something a bit different. Our shower head kept falling down & the toilet flush handle broken. The room was spotlessly clean."

"The hotel was okay for a one-night stay, but the ladies at the front desk could have been a little friendlier. A warmer welcome would have made the experience much better."

"We had a fantastic stay here in one of the new deluxe rooms. The room was incredibly comfortable, very well furnished and spotlessly clean with a large bathroom. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot dishes (special praise for the eggs benedict) alongside fruit juices, pastries, yogurt etc. We also had an evening meal in the pub which was again very nice. The pub is conveniently located a few minutes from the Bath park and ride. We'd...

"Amazing stay stuff were really friendly. Big thank you to Shaun and Mario who were at the front desk."

"I only stayed one night but I was very happy with the hotel."

"Great location to central Bath. Friendly accommodating staff and a comfortable room. Not a bad walk from the train station"

"No complaints at all. Pleased to be able to park on site, and use the bus service into the City. I have given 4 out of 5 because having been responsible for assessing situations in the past, I was reminded that nothing is perfect, to enable everyone to be 'kept on their toes'! Couldn't do that to the staff tho'!"

"A beautiful place in a perfect location to explore Bath."

"Nice location, good staff and fab food"

"Breakfast was very nice. A good location to stay."
