"Perfect for a short break in North Yorkshire. This was our second visit and once again did not disappoint. Lovely comfortable room, delicious tasting food, very welcoming staff and great location. "

"This is a nice hotel right in the middle of town. It is about two minutes from the James Herriot house and all the shops and restaurants. The only problem is there is no lift (elevator) and you will have to carry your own bags up the steep stairs to your room. (There are no rooms on the ground floor). The staff does not volunteer to help you with your bags, so be prepared to lug them up yourself. The breakfast was very nice (and they have a vegan option), plus there is a bar and restaurant on the premises. The parking is directly behind the property in a private lot. The staff were very friendly. "
