"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay. Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful. Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub. Only downside, studio was small."

"Yes, we found a very clean room once we'd managed to open the front door. The key turned freely without engaging the unlocking mechanism for several minutes. I had started to call the number given for assistance but whilst waiting from fourth in the queue, we managed to get in to operate as expected and gain entry. Once inside we found a basic but acceptable room. We did notice that there was only one chair, one bedside table and one bedside lamp. The shower room had a very nice light up mirror...

"We arrived early and we were kindly allowed use of the spa, pools, sauna and steam room. Service is second to none. We would have liked to have eaten at Sean Rankin’s restaurant but, unfortunately there was a wedding being held there. Our meal in Fletchers was very good. Our (cosy) room was on the top floor but next to the lift, which was fortunate. Everything was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. Very efficient room service. "
