"I loved it was so close to busy Chicago but in the quiet subarbs where it was nice and quiet and felt very safe. The rooms were excellent and well equipped and the kitchen was full of snacks to eat when you wanted and a great selection of drinks.
If I ever came to Chicago I would stay here again also the hosts were fantastic "

Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Parking slope getting into the garage was steep, would not recommend any low profile vehicles to attempt if too low would scrape or get stuck....pool was never renovated, other than that it was a decent holiday inn but dont think its a 300 dollar motel"
"This is not a hotel option to pass on. The hotel is close to transit so getting to downtown and to a Cubs game is easy to do. There are alsom many dining and options and small uniqure shops along Clark and Broadway."

"3 hours before we were supposed to check-in they canceled. They had my cell phone and didn't contact me. I had messaged them to get check in information and was only told at that time the place was now unavailable. For something as important as cancelling last minute they should have called, messaged and emailed. They had no problem requiring me via my cell phone to give them not only give them the names and ages of every guest staying but a picture of my passport and CC. Was this just a scam to get my money and personal information?
It was a holiday weekend I couldn't find on such short notice a comparable place to stay. I am a traveling hospice nurse and this was supposed to be a relaxing weekend by the beach with friends. Chicago was a central location to meet up so everyone had incurred traveling expenses. Finally, after 2 hours of frantic searching I found a place 8 miles from the beach that was more expensive. We incurred more costs for Ubers as the location was far from ideal. We spent over an hour to go 8 miles from our location to the beach due to Chicago traffic.
Originally, they said they said they would refund the total amount plus $100 for our "inconvenience". 5 days later still no refund. If a place cancels last minute, they should not only have to refund the money immediately but pay compensation for all the additional costs incurred. Maybe they cancelled to be able to rent on another site for more money?
Don't rent here if you hope to actually stay."
"It was a very efficient experience. Perfect for a place to sleep for the night as long as you don't care that the window is very close to the parking lot. Clean and a good value."
"Everything was as described, clean and enjoyable, had everything you might need. Its not the biggest studio, but they did a good job with the space. Its great for the price. "
