"Fantastic garden, classic location "

"I stayed in a log cabin at the back of the Inn's garden. It was both private and very comfortable. Including kitchen facilities and a smart TV with Netflix and Prime Video etc. There was also a nice little porch area with a view of the fields behind the property. The Inn itself is a beautiful old cottage with a large picturesque garden. My only complaint would be the unrequested wakeup calls. I booked with breakfast included, the staff thought they would helpfully bang on my window periodically as a reminder it was available. I had been out late the night before and had intended to sleep in. So this wasn't welcome. On check-out day, I was just finishing up in the shower to make my way over 30 mins before breakfast and check-out was supposed to end and someone entered my room / cabin. Just to see if I wanted breakfast. Personally I don't like to be disturbed unless necessary. There was a phone in the cabin, so if they were anxious about checkout and really wanted to get hold of me they could have tried calling first. That being said, this didn't bother me too much but I felt it worth mentioning as I have never had this at any other place I've stayed."

"The Red Lion is a property steeped in history and it is hard to create modern standards in such an old building. That being said, everything was clean and tidy and the service was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend it to friends "

"We were greeted by Chris when we checked in after long day exploring Cotswold. We decided to stay in and booked a reservation for dinner. We had steak and Seabass and both meals were cooked to a perfection. All the courses were delicious from starter to dessert. The bed, bedding, linens, and soaps were luxury without loosing the characters of the house..and clean. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Thanks Desi, Chris and everyone (sorry, I forgot the name) so welcoming and helpful to make our stay memorable. Beautiful grounds and view from our room. We’ll definitely comeback again. "

"A beautiful property in the centre of Corsham. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and I loved the bedroom and beautiful bath. A perfect place to escape to for a couple of days. Corsham itself was quiet, I think more due to the bad weather, but lots of places to visit nearby."

"From beginning to the end Catherine and Thomas have been brilliant. We arrived early and Catherine said we could go straight to the cottage, ( which with a 2 and half year old) saved us having to find somewhere to hang around for a couple of hours. As the other cottage wasnt being used at the time we were able to adjust our booking times of the pool if we needed to. The place itself is beautiful and has everything you need. Catherine even made us home made scones with jam and cream, milk, butter and a bottle of wine was lovely to receive. The pool, steam room and sauna were appreciated by the family as we all have stressful jobs and they said they just felt so relaxed. I cannot fault this property at all. Just wished we had longer there. We would definitely go back again. Hopefully for longer next year. Thank you Catherine and Thomas."
