"The hotel-Casino was really well done. Easy access, and all of the property was very clean and well maintained. I even say a guy out in the parking lot sweeping and picking up debris."

"Attendant during check-in was attentive and service minded. Clean room and grounds. We loved the room design. We were able to park our fully loaded truck in the grave outside of the regular parking. Clean grounds and easy to bring our dogs out. Love the outdoor fireplace, felt peaceful and overall had a good feeling and vibe of the place. "

"Was advertised on web site as having a pool. No mention that it would be outdoors and was supposedly under construction. We saw no evidence of a pool on the property. Was not impressed that it was advertised. Would have chosen a different hotel."

"The Heron is a very well maintained vintage building with the creature comforts and customer service to entice me to want to return for a longer visit. There’s ample parking and we were able to plug in our electric car. The lobby area features an appealing lounge with massive fireplace and seating as well as the breakfast dining area. Breakfast was of a good standard with fruit and eggs made to order . The rooms have a mixture of vintage charm and expansive windows along with a nice bathroom with tub and shower . The bedding was sumptuous and the room very clean and thoughtfully appointed . This review would be I complete if I didn’t mention the staff who were very warm and friendly and helpful , just what a traveller needs. The Heron will undoubtedly be the place I want to stay, the next time I visit the charming town of La Connor with its boutiques and galleries. "
