There is little soundproofing between rooms and every step can be heard from the room upstairs and next to us. We could hear every step from above and also conversations that prevented us from getting much sleep. We were also woken early by guests in the room next door who entertained guests on the porch and took chairs from our porch without regard for us in the room next to them. We don’t understand why guests were given rooms next to us when there were only 4 rooms occupied in the entire building on one of the nights we stayed. (There other night we were told it was fully booked). It is an older property so I understand that the noise issue may be unavoidable. I recommend the management warn guests of the thin walls and also those staying on the first floor will likely hear all from the floor above.
