"The description of this property is spot on. It is stunningly gorgeous and we never tired of being on the patio, in the grass or exploring the many rooms of this authentic farmhouse. We loved how the original details are preserved, while having updated bathrooms and appliances. We had a group of 8-10 family/friends per night and then a family party with 20 people on the patio. The kitchen/sunroom/deck/patio made for easy circulating and serving food. Evenings on the patio with the party lights and a fire were truly special. We enjoyed every single minute. We also took lengthy walks/runs 4-8 miles (and bike rides) around the area. It is so scenic and we only saw a handful of cars, even on the paved roads.The owner was immediately responsive to questions, but we didn't have many. We pretty much used everything in the house--all the kitchen appliances, washer/dryer, etc--everything was easy. The pantry and kitchen were beyond amply stocked--this made our lives a lot easier because the area is remote with no shopping to speak of; we drove in with groceries.We really appreciated the delivery of farmfresh eggs our first morning--they were delicious.We would definitely return!"

"Very nicely appointed and well equipped cabin in a quiet, rustic setting. Close to the towns of Stockbridge and Lee. Perfect for a Berkshire get away. "

"Unfortunately, my group and I wasn't able to stay at the octagon house due to flooding. We got a very timely message on Friday before our check in time informing us of the situation. The property owner was able to offer us a stay at a similar property in the area and things were all set within 15 minutes or less! The lake house was absolutely gorgeous and we had a blast! We'll definitely be going back in the summer. Thank you for being so flexible with planning as well. I'll be recommending these properties to friends and family!"

"This is our second time staying here and it just the most perfect house. We rang in the new year with friends and all our kids. The house is so cozy, we played games fireside and cooked dinner every night. During the day we explored Stockbridge, Great Barrington and Lennox. The location is perfect. We also went snow tubing at butternut mountain and bosque mountain. We woke up to snow, there is nothing better than a cup of coffee and those beautiful snow covered views. Thank you Chris and Jane! We can’t wait to return. "

"Must-stay if you’re looking for a remote getaway to get back to nature! My group of adult friends came in October to enjoy the leaves and fall weather and this spot didn’t disappoint! The house is gorgeous and huge, plenty of space for the 7 of us to spread out. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen had enough cooking tools for us to make a few tasty meals. The location is great as well - in between a few quaint towns so we could drive around to hiking and sightseeing while admiring the landscape. We did run into a few minor maintenance issues (a couple lights out and we couldn’t seem to get the fireplace working) but nothing that stopped our enjoyment. Would come back again!"
