"A wonderful 5 night stay in the perfect location. Tim and Sheila were the ideal hosts; generous, kind and always ready to share their time and local knowledge to ensure we were able to get the best from our all too short stay. "I would not recommend a stay at the Dolphin Inn at all. The overall experience was terrible. The room was small and inadequately lit. The sheets and pillow cases, although obviously clean, were placed on old and very badly stained pillows and mattress. The shower holder was broken and as a result the shower head was difficult to direct. The towels and bathroom mat were ancient and threadbare. There was no cooked breakfast, as had been advertised, and what we were given had to be eaten...

"Very quiet hamlet near the river Avon estuary as it discharges into the English channel so very pretty setting. Close to Burgh Island which I could just see the top of from my upstairs bedroom window. Very plain inside the pub; lovely friendly staff; had a main evening meal, not particularly good, very dry fish pie which had been microwaved to death and the following day all three of us had a dicky stomach and the runs. Streptococci no doubt. Over cooked poached eggs for breakfast but...
