"I have stayed at this hotel numerous times mainly because it is one of the only places to have free parking on site. There is a lovely pub/bar at the front of the hotel and restaurant at the back. The food is always good and the staff are very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that the hotel is starting to look tired and grubby. In particular all skirting boards are dusty and chipped. All doors need scrubbing and painting. It’s the details that matter and a full deep clean and repaint would really benefit this cute hotel. "

"The room was a bit tatty, needs updating and decorating, carpet was stained but clean, large comfortable bed and fridge in room, which was useful. The staff were very helpful, showing me to my room and completing the parking online form to register my car for the carpark. Its a pity the new owners no longer allow dogs in the hotel. I would return if they reviewed their policy."

"Unfortunately I didn't realise there would be so many dogs there, more so with owners that we're inconsiderate. We had a dog wailing and barking from 7pm - 8pm, more of an annoyance than anything, but the same dog was then wailing from 7am - 7.45am on Sunday morning, which was completely inconsiderate, I didn't need to be up at 7am. The hotel itself was nice enough but ruined by some of the guests"

"The hotel looks as if it was built in the 1970s/80s and the bathroom looked a little tired BUT the room was clean with a large bed with spotless bed linen and towels. Close to a main road - didn't bother me. I closed the window and slept well. Heating/air con worked well. The bar was closed - they looked like they were running the hotel with only 4 staff BUT the staff attention, cheerfulness and willingness to help was exemplary. Free parking - and plenty of it was much appreciated. Close to the National Agric. Centre. Very good value. Not the most luxe hotel in the world but because of its location, free parking and the sheer welcome of the staff I would happily stay there again."

"Good location, check in ok, no information given regs facilities, breakfast etc. room good size, clean, a little tired in terms of decor but comfortable. Saturday night is disco night so expect music until 12 midnight. Breakfast a bit chaotic, guests meandering about in the hall to be served, with the manager serving out food on a rationed basis. Good quality food though. For the money it was good and despite the above I would stay again. "

"When we first arrived, the desk receptionist was not very Ord to say the least and we were off to a rough start when the room key would not work several times and we had to hike up the stairs because the elevator was out of order. There was some confusion about the dinner menu so we skipped dinner in the restaurant but in the morning we had an amazing breakfast buffet laid out which was one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever seen. After reading the reports of the restaurant I had my doubts but we were totally shocked at the ample and delicious breakfast buffet. We reported our concerns to the manager who was very responsive and helped us sort out the problems. It’s a lovely setting the room was great. We had a comfortable stay. It was not too hot. It was just perfect and most ways. A good value and especially that breakfast I can’t say enough."
