"The hotel is fine, but I was charged twice for the same stay. When I arrived the people at front desk took payment from my card, but their system (not Expedia's) had already done the same. They said this was an honest mistake, acknowledged it, and said they would refund the duplicate payment in the following days. More than a month afterwards they now refuse to do so, and it is impossible to even get in touch with the people at front desk. Their management system for problem resolution is a bot...
"First we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned but this was quickly sorted and we were switched to another room. However, it was so damp as to be unfit for use, particularly as my wife is asthmatic. The damp odour and poor atmosphere both in the room and the corridor meant we decided to leave and went to an another hotel. The evidence of damp was so obvious as to beg the question why the hotel management felt it appropriate to book out the room."
"I chose a more budget room, so my view wasnt very nice and overlooked by other rooms (the garden is lovely so maybe consider upgrading to a garden view). However, the room was large, well maintained and I didnt notice any significant cleanliness issues. Bathroom had plenty of surface space for toiletries.
The car park can get quite full if an event is on. Food and drinks I thought a little pricey (large glass of wine and a burger £37). Pool was nice and lots of gym equipment."
"The property was was pretty much as expected, The room was clean and big. The issue we had was there did not seem to be sufficent sound deading between the rooms, as we could hear voices from other rooms. Could not hear what they were saying, but could near the noise. Luckily they went to bed about the same time we did and did not wake up before we did, but it not what we wanted or expected. It was in a very isolated location. That was not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. ...
"Very small accommodation for a family of three. Pics online do not adequately represent the ‘stables’ but mainly show the other units which are bigger. For the price we paid (£102.50 for the night) I would say it’s massively over priced. Total accommodation was probably half the size of an Ibis budget room but double the price. Beds were comfortable and location was good. Outside area could have been tidier and again not suitably represented in the pics . Also directly next to a busy railway...
