The heater in ground floor got very loud noise after few hours central heating been turn on. Need to turn up the heating,(e.g. from 0 to 2, from 2 to 3)to stop the noise. "We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there"

"Amazing place to stay. First time staying in a B&B having favoured hotel stays in the past and what a nice change in made. From the warm and friendly welcome and throughout the 3 day stay everything met or exceeded our expectations. The room (Burley) at the top of the house was amazing with a roll top bath in the room, the most comfortable of bed and just the ambiance of the house made the experience even better. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were super friendly too."

"مكان اقامة ممتاز، والقائمون عليه ودودون جداً وخدمتهم مميزة"

"The lady who gave me breakfast- the owner was really helpful and friendly and gave me a perfect breakfast. I have no complaints and the price was fair."

"The hotel is well placed to explore the area. The room was comfortable, clean and great for the 2 nights we stayed. The bar was cosy with the wood burner on, breakfast set you up for the day and dinner was tasty and substantial 😁 The staff were friendly and helpful; we would stay again"

"Was a bit spooky in house on my own as friends were in barn, breakfast was lovely and hosts friendly, I would stay again"

"Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend."
