"Lovely stay in this beautiful and comfortable B&B. Owner was present for our welcome and very organized with set up and building entry and parking . Breakfast was very enjoyable and yummy . Would visit Dumfries and the B&B again in the future if given a chance for sure . Centrally located to downtown area with great dining options . Thanks "

"A perfect place to stay. Location is right by the side of the solway firth with great views and an array of local birds. The accommodation is of a very high standard and has everything you want. A separate bedroom, bathroom and living room. There is a great range of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and they even supply fresh milk daily. When you stay here you are the only guests which gives you the exclusivity and personal touch. Talking of the personal touch, as it was Easter some chocolate...

"The hotel is a stately home. More like a Manor that is just outside Penpont; Thornhill is just a 5 min drive. It’s located in a gorgeous area surrounded by lovely old oak trees and the Scaur River. Excellent for a good walk. "
