JR East Hotel Mets Kawasaki
3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (706)
"Extremely convenient as it sits right in-between Tokyo and Yokohama. It's essentially attached to JR Kawasaki station making transportation simple. Prices are reasonable, readily available, and rooms are a little bigger than average for Japan. The hotel is clean and the facilities have been updated. Finally, the surrounding area is lively and vibrant, with tons of places to shop and eat. Also a great place to avoid the crowds of Tokyo. We will definitely stay here again!"

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kawasaki-Higashiguchi
3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (1006)
"Pleasantly surprised with the room size, (though some may still find small) it was bigger than some other budget hotels we have stayed at in Tokyo. The bed and pillows were also quite comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. Everything in and outside the hotel room looked clean. It was a short walk to the station, near a convenience store and plenty of dining options around. If you're looking to do some shopping, there are also plenty of options including malls. If you're arriving late...

"Close to railway and buses. A thousand shops and restaurants. Lively atmosphere. Midway between Yokohama and Tokyo. Low cost abundant efficient transport system. At Kawasaki city, I experienced real Japan away from the epicenter of overtourism seen in Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo. I have seen daily out of house activities of a gentle polite helpful people that inhabit the Land of the Rising Sun. Everyone in the world with a dollar in the pocket has to live in Kyoto for a week during Sakura cherry...
