Beachfront Condo on the Beach at Makaha!
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent property. Gated for safety. Very clean. Accessible to stores and restaurants. Thanks!"
"We typically stay on the Waikiki side of the island when we visit Oahu, but we decided to stay away from the crowds and stay in the Makaha area. We were literally on the beachfront and had the best view. The unit was clean and we had all the things we needed for a great stay. The pull out bed was very comfortable and you could hear the ocean every night. We were a bit far from all the activities, but it was worth it. Our host was very accommodating and we would definitely stay here again."
"This place was incredible! The photos are spot on with the beauty and closeness of the beach! This place had everything we needed: cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, washer and dryer, hair dryer, iron, all the kitchen items needed to cook (we didn’t cook there though)! I do feel like the inside pictures don’t go the place justice though. The furniture is much nicer than it appears in the photos—high quality wicker items. I’ve already shared this place with many family members and friends! I’m so happy we chose not to stay in one of the busy tourist areas. The drive into the tourist areas (Pearl Harbor, Downtown Waikiki) was kind of a bummer, but the mountain scenery was beautiful.
If you’re a hiker, my husband hiked/climbed the mountain right by the condo. We also went to a trail that was called Kaʻena Point Trail. It was mostly flat, so non-experts like me were able to utilize it. There is hardly any shade, so be aware of that beforehand.
There is a gem of a restaurant only about six minutes away from the condo. It is on an Army base, but civilians are able to go to it. Some people online said you needed an ID to get in, but they did not check our IDs when we went. It’s called The Beach House by 604. Coquito’s nearby is also good. We loved their Tres Leches cake.
The surrounding area (not the condo itself or on the street the condo was on) was a little sketchy when we went to Longs Drug Store around 8 PM one night, but no one approached us or anything like that. "
16P - Permitted penthouse end unit at the Hawaiian Princess - best view on Oahu
10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I had an amazing time at the Hawaiian Princess! The host did an excellent communicating with us. She covered every detail from pulling up to the gate, getting into the condo, and enjoying the surroundings. We hope to return in the future!"
Permitted Hawaiian Princess condo on beach with sea turtles and amazing sunsets
10/10 Excellent
"My husband, daughter, and granddaughter planned this trip for our granddaughters graduation trip. The property is located away from the busy tourist area and a very quiet beach, very nice beach also a pool, it was perfect for us! The owner communicates quickly when contacted. Bonus: Regular turtle sightings and occasional sealsI would like to suggest better pest control, also more plastic drink cups instead of glass. "
"Beautiful condo! Had everything we needed for a great stay including beach gear and boardgames. The view was incredible and the beach was practically private. The location is out of the way, which is what we expected. Having the added lanai space of this corner unit made a huge difference. We saw sea turtles every morning! "
OUTSTANDING Main Floor Condo - STEP directly onto the BEACH!!
10/10 Excellent
"Get away from the busy life…. Sit back enjoy the sound of the waves …. Sand between you toes…. Watch turtles swim by… nice drive to north shore, Dole plantation and the macadamia nut farm."
"We had a wonderful time at this property. The condo was very clean and the communication with the owner was prompt and always positive. The condo has everything you would need to have a relaxing time on a semi-private beach that is beautiful. The property is located in a remote location of the island that very much appealed to us. There is a full grocery story located just to the south of the property. If you want the convenience of upscale restaurants and shopping, you should stay in the city. If you want to experience the lifestyle of the locals, this is your place. We enjoyed the food trucks, talking to the residents of the property and the peace and quiet that this condo has to offer. We would definitely stay here again if we come back. "
"This property is great for anyone looking for a more secluded, less crowded beach that faces the sunset. A great home base to return to after exploring the island during the day. "
