Directly Beachfront | Country Cottage

"Loved the cottage and the location right on the beach. It’s very quiet and everyone very friendly. The pool and the grounds were lovely. However the cottage itself needs some renovations. The tv didn’t work properly. The laundry and bathroom by the office were very dirty. The pool umbrellas also need to be replaced. In spite of all that we love the place and would recommend it and stay there again."
Island Jewel — Ocean Front North Shore Paradise

"We loved Island Jewel so much the first time we came that we extended our stay this year! The very clean and very well-laid-out cottage is located fifteen feet from the clearest ocean water and the biggest North Shore sky. We saw Planet Venus appear every night, as well as the star, Arcturus (known in Hawai'i as Hokule'a). Karson, the owner, is always very welcoming, kindly answering any questions we may have. I love that there is a communal washer/dryer area (which requires quarters). It's also so nice that the refrigerator has an ice-maker. The community itself is absolutely lovely, populated as it is with kind people and abundant plumeria trees and one of the most amazing Hala trees I have ever seen! It is always hard to leave this piece of Paradise. We would return in the blink of an eye!"

"What a surprising and delightful spot on Hawaii’s North Shore! Close to the beach, fruit trees on property, and there was a trampoline for our kid to jump on! Short drive to some really cool spots in Waimea and Hale’iwa. We LOVED our stay here."

"This home is smartly designed, flawlessly clean house and a beautifully maintained yard, the most relaxing ocean/beach front location and “absolutely no street/traffic noise”. The caretaker husband/wife lives next door, and they are ever so helpful with local shopping tips and sightseeing recommendations, very friendly. The North Shore is quiet/not crowded and this is the least crowded and quietest part of the Noth Shore. Sit on the back yard beach side and the locals that live there and walk by on the beach are so friendly. You just wish the rest of the world could be like this. You’ll frequently see turtles, one day we saw a seal swim by, and they are fast! Sunsets are beautiful and you’re a short drive to the trailhead at Ka’ena Point. Take the oceanfront path. We live in Colorado and have hiked many a trail in the foothills and mountains of the Rockies, Ka’ena Point was by far the most exciting experience ever. Then come back to enjoy the comforts of this home, sit at the beach side and savor the beauty of this world."

"The yurt was a lot of fun to stay in for our family of 11. It was conveniently located with lots of parking. The linens and towels were greats were the beds The shower worked fine and you had to go outside to get to a fully functional bathroom but that wasn’t a problem at all. We had rain but no leaks. Overall. I would certainly stay again. We were worried with all of the warnings but communication was great and we found it a great spot from which to explore the North Shore and the rest of Oahu. "

"We loved our stay at Cedars. Beautiful property with ocean views out front, gorgeous mountains from the kitchen & bathroom. Access to Garage with washer & dryer, beach towels, coolers, beach chairs etc all very convenient. Designated parking spot. AC for comfortable sleep. We hated to leave! "

"First thing was the great communication with the Cedar our host. She made us feel so welcomed and was very flexible about the hour we flew in, to be there for a tour and showing us the house so we knew where everything was. The views were stunning and even better then described! Couldn't have been any better. I think my favorite part was sitting in the jacuzzi at night watching the sunset. My kids loved the beach. It had such easy access and a convenient outdoor shower to use(with warm water) to wash off all that sand. Cedar let us use all the boggie boards and chairs, towels, toys for the kids, surf boards, snorkel gear. I felt secure with a code to get into the front gate. If there was anything needed, Cedar took care of it. We ran out of propane for the BBQ and without having to say anything she went and filled it up and got a new BBQ. We are from a colder and drier climate so the a/c' s in each room were a life saver for us. We were celebrating my mom's 81st birthday. It was perfect for her. She could be a part of everything we were doing outside and there weren't a lot of stairs for her to use. We saw a monk seal, crabs and Turtles!! About 25 to 20 feet away from us. Wow... Thanks for letting us make wonderful family memories Cedar!"
