"Lovely up market hotel. The room was very big and spacious. Not much of a view though, but in all fairness we didn’t book a room with a view specifically. The hotel is ideally located a couple of hundred yards from the train station and close to pubs, restaurants etc."

"The staff were just so lovely here. Really really friendly, helpful, bubbly and after a 7 hr drive from Brighton to Newcastle it was nice to be greeted with such friendliness. I can’t remember the ladies name who checked us in but she was super nice (I hope she got Sam fender ;) in the end) and the night guy who was there when we returned from St James’s was also such a nice guy, he was still there in the morning so he saw us off. Both took to time to chat and not just small talk or the regular check in chat. Thanks for having us xx"
