"I booked this room for the balcony view and it did not disappoint. I spent my time working form the hotel room desk but very much enjoyed the view and location while doing so. A few hiccups that make this review 4 and not 5 stars. Upon check in there was not anyone at the front desk. A sign said the staff member would be back shortly as they were helping a customer. Ok, fine. There was a # to call for an emergency. No big deal. I can wait a few minutes. I went to my car and after 20 min went back and called the #. The staff member was away eating dinner. So I arrived at 5:15 but didn't get to check into my room until 5:40 or so. I unpacked and headed to shower as I had arrived from an 11 mile hike. I go to get in the shower and there are NO towels. I call the front desk and ask if someone can bring me towels. Nope. So needless to say this was not a great start. Honestly, I think I should have been comped for my inconvenience, but the next day I only saw the same worker at the desk and I just haven't got around to calling about it. I ate dinner at the Pho restaurant across the street. It was delicious. I walked to town and if you continue to the totem pole you hit 1 mile. There were about 10 deer on the beach in the morning also. Sadly they were scared off by motor boat the pretended to head their way and some noisy kids."

"This is a self-help apartment. It was very expensive. We were afforded no early check in, even though we far in advance notified them that we had a complicated situation. As a result, because we were at an event, could only check in late. Check out is at 10AM, which is an obnoxious, creeping habit of hotels and air b and b's. It does not take six hours to clean a unit. Also, the stay requires a download of an app, but we did not receive check in information (just an email with a broken link) so had to spend time with tech support to get access. Given the price, which was in excess of $500, we expected nice amenities. There was a Keurig with paper cups and instead of drinking glasses there were plastic cups in plastic bags, like you would get at a cheap motel. There were plastic utensils piled in a drawer down the hall. No bottled water or collective filtered water. The unit was nice and decorated in a quirky and cool way, and the space was comfortable- or would have been had we been able to enjoy it. Our night was the same night as a big event in town, so we may have been victims of an algorithm, but the value just was not there. If you can get a better price and don't mind checking in late and leaving early, it is well located (a bit noisy) right off the main drag, and convenient to everything. Parking is at your own risk, as the parking is posted at 2 hours, but the hotel says it is not enforced. We did not get a ticket, so it held true for us."
