"The hotel is located in the wonderful setting of Ickworth Park. Lots of fantastic walks and no traffic to disturb the tranquility of the countryside. We usually stay in the Premier Inn in Bury St Edmunds when visiting our son but, surprisingly, that chain is now outpricing itself against much more superior hotels such as this one. The bedroom retained all its charm of a bygone age including what appeared to be some of the original antique furniture. We had a wonderful view overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was excellent. Plentiful parking. Highly recommended."
