"Stay was fine if not spectacular. Breakfast good. Convenient location and very quiet. Our room was a bit small, (we have stayed here before and had a much larger room.) Cleanliness fine. Bar fine. Customer service fine. Would stay again."

Unfortunately the cleanliness took a hit when we discovered someone else’s dirty underwear in the corner of the room.
How a well established hotel can miss something like this I don’t know.

"Good bar staff, nice food, OK breakfast if you're OK with a buffet style cooked breakfast where things are kept lukewarm on a tray (doesn't work with fried eggs). Little jugs four milk for the table to put into coffee or tea would be a good idea, save having to get up and get the milk from the buffet every time you top up.

"Just the job..a 2 night stay for the wife and myself. We will be returning here in a few weeks time for a couple of nights again...so relaxing. The staff here are excellent, going the extra mile to ensure a freindly, comfortable experience. Have to say, especially the restaraunt staff...brilliant! And the breakfast served was really just great...looking forward to that again in a few weeks time!"
"The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming when we arrived.
Allocated a room with a four poster bed, as I'm a little claustrophobic we asked to change room at reception, no problem at all. Overlooking the river with balcony we would definitely stay again in this room.
It is a little tired but clean and comfortable."
"I only had one dinner in the Greek restaurant but I felt the thickness of the pitta bread topped with chips before thin slithers of chicken just bulked the meal out and made you feel you were having something very unhealthy.
Due to no air con and high temperatures the room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. There was a fan which helped to a degree. Could have been more generous with water, teas and milk although when I asked for more they immediately provided.

"Lovely location and tranquil setting. However our stay did not include breakfast and at £13 each we gave it a miss. Plenty of parking outside, although there were very few staff around, we had to call the hotel to get someone at reception."
"Rooms are clean but dated, floors throughout are creaky. The shower took 10mins to get hot, such waste of water. I ordered starter and main course they came out together, the starter was nice and fresh, I think the main course was kept warm and not cooked fresh as I sent it back. Breakfast was good and cooked fresh so it takes time to arrive."
"The pub was lovely beams and horse brasses. We didn’t eat there as my daughter lives just down the road. The rooms out the back are comfortable clean and have everything you need it was quiet at night as I am a very light sleeper but had no trouble."
