"This was our second time at this B & B, and we're glad to be back. We stayed in St. John on our way from Vermont to PEI, and we did the same thing on our return trip. While the outside of this property could use some TLC in the paint department, the inside of this historic building is immaculate and filled with historic charm. Just be aware that you need to go up a flight of stairs to reach the lobby level. BTW, there's always free, fresh coffee available (KEURIG), as well as water. Our room (number 1), had a double and a single bed and a private bathroom with a charming tub. It's by no means a huge room, but all we needed was a place to shower and sleep. The mattresses are excellent, and the bedding is soft. The B & B itself is an easy, ten-minute drive from uptown St. John where all the restaurants are. Speaking of food, the breakfast that's prepared in front of you at this B & B was once again out of this world and based on fresh ingredients. The chef is well-traveled, and happy to share his experiences with you. My wife can have no gluten at all, and this place is very safe for people suffering from Celiacs disease! Next year we're going to Cape Breton, and we'll be sure to stay at this B & B again. We can't recommend it enough!"

"This motel was a great find! Room, including bathroom, was immaculate, breakfast included hot waffles, and the view was expansive toward the port of Saint John and open ocean. In addition, the staff was so nice, even opening the door for us. This is our new place in the area!"

"Had a really lovely hotel! :) Was very tired when I arrived and what a pleasant surprise it was to start my stay with a meal in the restaurant. My server Ashley was very friendly and genuine. She even gave me the name of the singer, who I thought was just fantastic. The hotel was exceptionally clean and my room was comfortable. A few noisy kids in the hallways from time to time, but I that can't be helped - you'll find it anywhere. Location was about a 20-25 min walk along the Harbour Passage to the Uptown/waterfront area - a beautiful walk. All of the staff were very pleasant and I will absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in Saint John. Highly recommend."

"Hampton Inn has always been our going to hotel and this one did not dissapoint. Only possibility for improvement would be an small paper pad and pen in the room also a listing of local restaurant"
