"Just an overnight stay before dropping iff our son at Newcastle Uni digs. Ample free parking. A very friendly and helpful receptionist. From the decor it looked like the hotel was a premier inn in a former life. Just needs a bit of tlc and updating, but was more than adequate for us, very comfortable beds resulting in a very giod sleep."

"Beautiful hotel and fabulous surrounding gardens. Excellent food and service in the stables. Very large car park and less than a mile from the Beamish museum. Would definitely stay here again."

"Last minute overnight stay. Reception staff great. Room tired with some damage.wetroom style shower floor not shaped properly so flooded the bathroom. Room was clean with tea/coffee/biscuits but even so, not for me. "

"We have just had a wonderful stay here as my other half was doing the Great North Run. The staff were so helpful polite and attentive. The room was excellent spacious .really comfy beds full bathroom and had everything we needed as well as very quiet. So now comes the restaurant........ wow just wow the food was top notch all freshly cooked and some of the best Italian we have ever had. Portion sizes are not for the faint hearted ie great for a pre run carb load tea for my partner but so delicious 😋. The whole experience was great and should Chris get in the GNR again we will return and with our little girl. Thank you so much Em and Chris From Sheffield"
