"The room was spacious and clean. The washroom was very clean. The check-in was seamless. We went in the winter so some of the property was suffering from winter deadfall but suspect in warmer months it is clean and the beach is welcoming."

"Our 4 night stay in March was great. Beautiful view from balcony; the weather was sufficiently warm for us to enjoy breakfast on the balcony two mornings -- an unexpected treat. Spacious, well appointed. Appreciated access to washing machine and dryer. Host was very responsive and informative. Check in process was easy. Easy access to National Park trails to snowshoe and Cape Smokey to go downhill skiing. Hope to stay again. "

"Kitchen appeared clean. We did not use the kitchen facilities.It was lovely walking into the washroom to find it warm.The room was very clean, the heater was nice to warm up the chilly room. The bed and bedding was comfortable.Checkin was easy and straight forward."

"Wonderful location for visiting Cape Breton and especially the Cabot Trail! Uli was so kind to have a fire already going in the fireplace and we immediately felt welcomed and at home at Maggie's place. The peace and quiet and fall colors were beyond our expectations for this much needed get away for my husband and myself. We were very Blessed to have attended the first night of the Celtic Colours Festival in Port Hawkesberry.We had everything we needed at our fingertips and Uli is very responsive to any needs that we had or questions about the area. "Make sure to read the description carefully! I was not aware that there was no power (not a huge deal) but they did warn me to bring a towel (they don’t supply). No one to greet us, and it took a few minutes to sort out which pod was ours. The kitchen seemed to have enough pots and pans. For the price , not sure…."

"Cozy camping pods, as advertised. The line dried sheets were a nice touch. No waiting for the washroom or showers. All communal areas clean and tidy."
