"A pleasant stay, ruined by a hidden service charge. On check out a 5% service charge was added to my bill. When questioned I was given the passive aggressive response that the charge was optional and “if you don’t want to reward our dedicated staff then we can remove it”. I felt very pressured in this situation and being unaware of tippping custom had no option but to pay the charge. I sent a follow up review to the hotel and received an unpleasant response that it was mentioned in the hotel...
