LEGOLAND California Hotel

4/10 Poor

"Not worth the high cost. This hotel is not well ran. The basics of how to run a hotel is something that the staff have clearly not been trained in and the hotel focused instead on the flash of decorations and add ons. The website does not work. You are not supposed to pay for parking at the park if you are staying at the hotel, but they never give you the voucher. Then there are no humans at the the parking entrances. You have to pay and then go out of your way to find a manager and ask for a refund, or you will pay for parking. Check is a disorganized madhouse of technology not working and employees walking around with laptops to try to trouble shoot and check you in. When I tried to get a luggage cart, I was directed into the bag check room, which was unsecured and I stood in to try to call someone. Once I realized no one was watching or cared, I grabbed a luggage cart and start to go out to get my bags, only to finally have people run out to yell at me about how I was stealing a luggage cart and told me I couldn't just use a luggage cart, I can to go get my car and pull up and pay more for them to move my bags for me. Getting a reservation for breakfast, which you have to do but then still wait when you arrive, was very hard to do. The pool closes very early and opens very late. The decorations were fun. The playground was beloved. The treasure hunt was enjoyed. Once I got breakfast, finally, we enjoyed it. Not worth the high price."

"Solid, clean option near I-15 and CA-56. The rooms seemed recently renovated and were great for my needs. The hotel backs up (and is visible from) I-15, but you don't hear anything in the rooms. Would stay there again. Pro tip: need to turn the shower faucet handle ~2.5 times for the hottest water - not just like 1 time like most faucets. The businesses (restaurants) closer to the street made the approach a bit confusing. It's definitely easier to approach the property from the I-15 side. But, it's simple once you've gotten to it the first time. Good access to the local wineries, industrial, and residential areas."

"I got this room for my in-laws to stay during our move to Oceanside. They really enjoyed their getaway. We all spent quality time at the jacuzzi and the fire pit in outside the lobby. The breakfast options were perfect for all of us. The room was clean and friendly staff. Would stay again at this convenient location!"

Sonesta ES Suites San Diego - Rancho Bernardo

"Upon arrival the room that I had booked was no longer available, therefore they upgraded us. We got a suite with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms which was extremely convenient for my family of 5. The room Overall was clean with the exception of the single bed that had some trash on it, and the bathtub in the same room had some soul residue. The couch in the living room did have a why on it. I booked this hotel because it included a gym and laundry. It happened to be in the same room, the gym equipment was minimal and the laundry room was flooded and unusable. Breakfast was nice to have. And its location is very convenient too. Close to a Costco and a lot of shopping centers. "

"We had a good experience. However, there seemed to be some miscommunication between the front desk and room service. It took multiple follow-ups over a couple of days to get a crib delivered, and in several other instances we had to contact staff multiple times to get things taken care of. Also worth mentioning parking is $28 per day and the property is not responsible for the safety of your vehicle or for any damage or theft. "
