We were there out of season so most things were shut, but we had a good time anyway, walking the Billy trail and visiting the local Donkey sanctuary and walking on the beach.

Royal Oak across the bridge is great but please book. Lovely Walk down the billy line normally but be aware it's closed for next few weeks for path maintenance. Curry house in Hayling is fab too.

Ghandi Tandoori is a fantastic curry house for any fans of indian food. The seafront arcades were a bit disappointing. I am a big fan if hayling island, and the proximity to portsmouth is a bonus for fantastic shopping and museums
"We stayed as we were going to portsmouth dockside. I did originally think it was closer to more things but thats my own fault for not checking. Easy to access though from the roads so just nipped in the car the next day. We stayed 1 night, had a drink in the bar. Didnt eat so cant comment on food. Very clean and staff friendly."

My only niggle is that the architect over-complicated the lighting system. Our room had 9 light switches (excluding the one for the bathroom) and it was impossible for us to turn off the dimmed light in the entrance hall area - no matter what switch combo we tried. My son and his gf had the same issue in their room. "
"Great experience staying here. The staff were so nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable. There’s a small store nearby for some necessities, and more extensive shopping is just a 15-minute walk mostly through a park. We ate at least one meal there each day, and the food was very good. All in all, a very nice place. We would definitely stay there again."
