"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was too soft for my liking and I found it uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a nice room. The hotel is a little run down in places but it has a relaxed atmosphere and never felt busy. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and there was a great selection of food. We did have to wait for food to be replenished which was a bit disappointing."

"The property was in a fantastic location, with excellent views. The pair of little grebes on the pond were a joy to watch. The property was within easy reach of the town centre, which has much to offer. The property was clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The sofa was not comfortable if you have the slightest back issue (style over function), but we didn't spend that much time on it. We enjoyed the balcony, and peace and quiet of the location. We will be back!"

"We stayed here in the summer. Such a great location we came back in winter. While upstairs was warm the underfloor heating downstairs did not work effectively despite the best efforts of the agent. It was very cold outside during our stay and it only warmed up inside when the sun shone through the windows. Two criticisms: the seating in the living area is not comfortable and no effort has been made to make the area feel cosy. Few ornaments and no pictures make the large room feel rather stark. The folding doors do not fit properly and added to the problem of keeping the large living room warm. We also found the back door impossible to open at times and ended up using only the front door. We hope the owners find a buyer soon. Despite our criticisms we enjoyed our stay because of the wonderful location."
