"A delightful place to stay. Right on the sea with a splendid terrace. Restaurant, bar service, swimming pools, a gym and lots of free parking. A splendid hotel for a base to explore south Devon. A lift is available for most floors."

"Stunning country castle style hotel. Rooms finished to a very high standard. Staff were wonderfully attentive, seemed genuinely pleased to help and proud of their establishment. Packed with history and a real oasis of peace and comfort. Afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious with a wide choice of options. I felt that the dinner option I had was a bit “nouveau cuisine”, lots on the plate but not much there. But what was there was very well prepared. Spa was very pleasant, although a bit of a shame that the steam room was out of order, as well as the lift to the spa. Will be staying again, it’s not cheap, but you pay for what you get. "

"This was a very nice hotel and and we had a Sea View however due to the flying birds around the area, the windows were dirty with bird poo. The hotel should ensure cleanliness of the windows too."
