"This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August."

"Unfortunately my wife had fairly bad illness during our stay, through no fault of the hotel, but I would like to praise the staff, especially the night manager for the assistance to transfer my wife to hospital."

"Location is lovely quiet and picturesque. We were at a wedding close by so only needed the hotel to sleep at, the hotel is a bit in need of a re-furb but very nice staff and the room was fresh and comfortable. The room was clean, bedding and bed were comfortable we did not eat as arrived at 3 dropped bags and headed to wedding.left at 8 in morning Would stay again as we both said apart from corridors and general impression it was a nice nights sleep Plenty parking and nice area for a morning...

"As you drive up the building was beautiful. Sadly inside the picture is very different, a really tired and run down place. The rooms very basic, cracked tiles in the bathrooms, everywhere in need of TLC, sticky threadbare carpets, non existent WiFi and water pressure. Dinner a disaster microwaved or undercooked food, that then arrived cold. The staff were lovely. The hotel is no way near a 4 star experience. So dissapointing."

"The breakfast was stunning! Beautifully cooked with quality ingredients. "

"Excellent "

"Property in good location , quiet and friendly environment. It may look as bit dated but very comfortable including accessible for kitchen , garden and TV programs. It’s worth for the money for sure Laura is very helpful and spot on with the communication. We were stayed for s week and wished we can come back again when needed ."

"Smooth check in and communication with the host, was met at the cottage and given the keys and information about the village and local area. Rooms where clean, shower is very nice and beds very comfortable. All in all will definitely stay again when back working in the area."

"It was a very pleasant place to stay highly recommended."

"A warm welcome to the recently refurbished coach house. The adjoined pub offered tasty food. With a freshly cooked breakfast we were ready to enjoy the stunning countryside surrounding this delightful village."

"My stay was amazing, great local country walks and great views. Differently would recommend."
