"Our room needed to be cleaner. There were long hairs in our shower - yuck."

"Great stay"

"The room was clean and nicely decorated… had to wait quite a while for the water to get warm but overall nice…."

"Room was very clean, place is within walking distance from the shore"

"We were priced out of places so we drove a bit to this place. It felt a bit like Las Vegas or Daytona Beach. the lobby desk had bars over it when we left in the morning. The check in was fast, he didn't even ask for ID or credit card. Floors of rooms were sloped this way or that. Dated furnishings. Big kitchen area for a hotel. So for the price compared to other places around, it worked well."

"The room needed major repairs…bathtub was breaking apart and the tub had long cracks in the fiberglass. Outside the balcony the room overlooked garbage all over the ground and no receptacles. Guy at front desk was helpful and kind when called for a transformer that was on fire at the roadside and when extra towels were called given there were a set of two but there were three of us as was indicated on the reservations."

"Nice hotel, comfy beds, clean and decent breakfast but not any protein options that weren’t pork except a boiled egg and none of us eat pork and one is vegetarian. It was six of us on a girls trip, riding the train, we booked this particular hotel because it was close to the train station and offered free shuttle service, however, we called to be picked up and where notified that there hasn’t been any shuttle service for 7 years (this may be an Expedia issue but in 7 years, I’m sure we weren’t...

"staff helpful"

"That's our favorite place to go !"

"This unit came with everything we needed for our weekend stay. Super clean and renovated. Short walk to downtown. Highly recommended."

"We spend one night returning from a trip to Acadia. We didn't know what staying next to a restaurant would be like but it was awesome. The rooms were great, very clean and the staff was helpful during check in and check out. We had already eaten dinner so we didn't get an opportunity to try the restaurant but the bar area was great! We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!"

"This is a quiet, charming, and well maintained, historic B&B, that provided a quaint New England experience. Excellent communication on the front end for check in procedures and adequate parking despite being a late arrival we're a huge plus! The breakfast was freshly prepared and quite delicious, served in a beautiful day room setting! I know the Innkeeper was busy, but it would be nice for her to spend a little time getting to know her guests and be a little less matter of fact."

"clean , convenient location"

"The property is beautifully maintained with beautiful flowers and the room we stayed in was incredibly clean and well decorated. Loved that it had a fridge with a separate freezer. Great location for walking to downtown Portsmouth. Unfortunately the people above us were very heavy footed (which is no fault of anyone at the inn) but otherwise the private entrance and patio made us feel like we were alone on the property which we appreciated. We did have trouble controlling the air and since it...

"The room was very nice and roomy but did have a bit of a musty smell upon arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the fact that they offered breakfast was a nice touch. The biggest drawback really was the stairs. They are quite steep and difficult to maneuver with luggage. I saw another guest fall trying to navigate his luggage. I never would have gotten my big suitcase up the stairs by myself. I do have to say that the person at the front desk offered assistance if needed,...

"Forth year coming the Portsmouth Hotel. Staff is great as well as the accommodations. Can’t wait to go back next year"
