This was my second stay at the Martin Hill Inn, and it does not disappoint. This Inn is the perfect Portsmouth stay. The beds are comfortable and fresh, the space is welcoming and cozy with historical details and the location is ideal for walking into town. It's officially my go to place to stay in the area.

We were very happy with our stay at the Martin Hill Inn! The property was extremely clean and our room was spacious and comfortable, also quiet. The larger size in-room fridge was appreciated because we could store our cooler items overnight (much easier than customary hotel fridges). The parking was safe and a short walk to the Inn through a very pretty garden, complete with a charming free library bookstand. We walked to market square easily for dinner when we arrived and again for breakfast the next morning, a nice bit of walking before getting back in the car. It was a bit different to never see anyone during check-in/check-out - but it beat waiting in a long check in line after a long drive so that was great. Highly recommend staying here!

While we only had a one-night stay, but it was excellent! The staff is very attentive and helpful. Our room was pristine upon arrival and the bed was very comfortable! Beautiful property and we loved the garden, wish we had more time to enjoy it.

Parking was easy which is a plus especially in a city like portsmouth. The town is extremely walkable so we didn't have to use the car again until we left. The staff was friendly and attentive. They asked what kind of coffee we wanted and even cleaned our room which included changing the towels. If we come back to portsmouth, I would definitely stay her again

Quaint little Inn but a little more than a short walk to the downtown area. Very nice quality bedding. I wish the review for our room would have stated that it was upstairs at the Inn. Very short steps to manage with luggage in tow. Other than that, very nice place with a beautiful patio area and overall, the Inn is nicely maintained.
