Coastal Rural Haven with mind blowing Sea Views! 10 minutes South of Moeraki.

"Fantastic location, beautiful views of the sunrise across the ocean straight from the master bedroom. Watching the ocean change throughout the day was such a perk of this place. The wild bunnies, and train behind the house were added excitements. Shag Point is just across the road, and both Moeraki and Palmerston about 15 mins away. The house was warm and bright, with a well equipped kitchen for a meal. General traffic noise could be heard with windows open, but easily ignored and traffic could not be seen. The driveway is easily accessed, though would recommend turning around in Shag Point Road if approaching from the North, and lots of space for parking up the driveway. The host was very communicative, helpful, and quick to reply. Would 100% recommend for couples, or small groups. We definitely would love to stay again!!"

"This was a fabulous stay and would recommend. Our only negatie was the beds were a little soft for 2 of us with back problems, however, that is our problem and in no way impacts on a really enjoyable stay here. Very 'homely' and agreat welcoming feel."

"Steampunk character of the hotel was very cool & fun - from the unusual elevator to the lobby & room decor. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was comfortable with very high ceilings. Overall, very enjoyable stay."

"It's a true Kiwi batch/crib. It's not 5 star but it is honest and comfortable with uncompromising views. The township of Kakanui is also true-blue Kiwi, it definitely is not Queenstown and the ability to enjoy the location is hassle free, ie you can simply walk everywhere.There are also plenty of other like-minded people also enjoying the beach, views and serenity. I especially enjoyed everything about being beside the ocean, the house is well suited to a Kiwi family escape.I am grateful that the owners allow people unknown to them the opportunity to enjoy their piece of paradise."
